Located on Hwy 25 in Lynn Arkansas, Rainey Brake Lodge
is close to a number of Arkansas' outdoor destinations including
world class Arkansas green timber duck hunting.
Whether it's hunting ducks, deer or squirrels on the WMA or fishing
on nearby Lake Charles and Black River, we're convenient to all.
The Lodge
With three private rooms, the lodge sleeps 10 to 16 people. Rent a single room or the entire lodge.
It has three showers, a kitchen facility complete with fridge, stove and microwave, and a lounge area with cable TV.
Central heat and air, of course.
The Town
Lynn, population 400, is a typical Arkansas rural community,
complete with bank (and ATM), post office, and a few small
businesses. Next door to the lodge is Lynn Supermarket, a small
country store with the best homemade sandwiches around. Farm Service
Co., a block away, has duck hunting gear. Get pizza at Shelia's Quick
Shop, a mile away. A new cafe is opening in town this October, just
in time for duck season.
Nearby
About 5 miles down the road in Strawberry, Arkansas, you'll find Haley's Grill (great BBQ!) and Edge of Town Cafe.
Twenty miles away, there is plenty of shopping and dining in
Batesville, population 9,500.
Hunting
Sherry Bay/Rainey Brake WMA
The lodge is located only 2 miles from the entrance to
Shirey Bay-Rainey Brake WMA in Lawrence county. There is
over 10,000 acres of great hunting and fishing here, especially
during duck season when over 3,000 acres of green timber are flooded
from nearby Lake Charles. When conditions are right, the WMA
offers some of the finest flooded timber duck hunting in the world.
